You Took A Concealed Carry Class. Now What?

Two questions:
– Did that class teach how to load, unload, repeatedly safely shoot and manage malfunctions?
– Did that class inform you how you can have your license application processed within 48 HOURS not 45 days?

If you took a concealed carry class like the one pictured above, in most instances, you learned nothing more than how to pull a trigger and make noise.

So, you have finally gotten into that concealed carry class that you have been waiting for only to discover it did not teach you how to use a handgun.

It should be understood that ‘concealed carry classes‘ do NOT teach handgun use, handling or firing. For the most part, they only teach the State laws pertaining to the carrying of firearms and other weapons and where you can and cannot carry a weapon in the state of Florida.

Considering A Concealed Carry Class? Consider this . . .

We conduct training that prepares you to defend your life and the lives of your loved ones.

Why anyone would take a a concealed carry class, gun training class or a self-defense class conducted at a place that sells used bicycles and chainsaws or in a rented hotel room.

What value do you place on your life and the lives of your loved ones? The value of a used lawn mower?

If you want more from your ‘concealed carry’ training than just a piece of paper that allows you to apply for a concealed carry license, than take only official NRA firearms training classes. Not just a class taught by someone who claims to be an instructor.

Having A Concealed Carry License Is of No Benefit . . .

Possessing a concealed carry license provides you no benefit if you do not know how to safely carry and use a handgun.

Having a concealed carry license does you no good if you do not know how to safely carry and use a handgun.

As a matter of fact, carrying a gun and not being trained how to use it can get you very seriously hurt or worse.

Pastor Shot, Killed With His Own Gun
Starrville, Texas – Jan. 03, 2021
Pastor McWilliams, the church’s 62-year-old pastor opened the door to a bathroom and found Woolen, the suspect, hiding inside.
A scuffle ensued, and McWilliams drew a handgun, the sheriff said. Smith said McWilliams told Woolen to lie on the floor.
“The pastor got distracted and Woolen (the suspect) lunged at him. The suspect was able to get the firearm out of the pastor’s hands and shot him.
Woolen shot and killed the pastor, shot at his wife but missed and shot a third person who had non life-threatening injuries.
Sheriff Smith said the other church member who was shot was also armed, but he never got a shot off at the suspect.

Things you should know before taking a concealed carry class:

  • Not all concealed carry classes are alike
  • There is no standardized concealed carry class curriculum
  • In Florida, anyone can teach anything and call it a ‘concealed carry class’
  • Typically, ‘concealed carry classes’ do not provide any gun training.

Some things you should know about firearms and firearms training in Florida:

A concealed carry license is not required to:

* take a firearms training class

* purchase a firearm

* own a firearm

* legally transport a firearm

You should not put off receiving firearm safety training and the training to use a gun because you do not have a concealed carry license.

In reality, you should get trained in the use of a firearm before you purchase a gun and apply for a concealed carry license.

If the class you are considering does not state that it is an NRA firearms training class, it is not an official NRA training class.

We have all the necessary equipment and supplies necessary for complete self-defense, firearms training. Shortages being experienced elsewhere have not affected our training. Nothing has been cut or abbreviated from our training classes.

See our class schedule and register for a class at: REGISTER FOR A CLASS

All our firearms training classes involve the use of true defensive caliber guns. We never use youth training guns in our firearms training classes.

We train you to defend your life and the lives of your loved ones.
