President Trump renews commitment for nationwide, national concealed carry reciprocity

A Florida concealed carry license is about to become more valuable. You will need one to have reciprocity, similar to that of a driver’s license.

During remarks to American workers at a Mack Trucks facility in Macungie, Pa. on June 23, President Donald Trump reiterated his support for National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity and NRA.

The president singled out NRA President Bill Bachenberg for recognition and noted how he is working with NRA. President Trump pointed out, “The NRA… they’ve been with me right from the beginning.”

The president then asked those gathered what they thought of National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity, federal legislation to ensure a state Right-to-Carry permit is honored throughout the country, which elicited enthusiastic applause. President Trump then stated, “National Right-to-Carry, we’re working on it.”

A driver’s license works in every state, so it’s common sense that a concealed carry permit should work in every state. If we can do that for driving – which is a privilege, not a right – then surely we can do that for concealed carry, which is a right, not a privilege.

National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity shouldn’t be controversial. Moreover, it’s good politics.

It should be understood that you will need a license or permit to have reciprocity, similar to your driver’s license.

Friday, April 3rd In-Gauge received its 9th proclamation declaring April as CHILD GUN SAFETY EDUCATION MONTH, from the City of Lakeland.

Earlier in the week, In-Gauge received proclamations from the City of Winter Haven and the City of Haines City. During the week of April 5th, the cities of Auburndale, Frostproof and the Town of Lake Hamilton will be issuing their proclamations. That will be a total of 11 Polk County municipalities and Highlands County that have joined In-Gauge of Polk County’s campaign to make April Child Gun Safety Education Month.

Karoline Leavitt Confirms CCW Reciprocity May Be Coming To All 50 Beautiful States

At a recent White House press briefing, Karoline Leavitt, President Trump’s press secretary, faced a direct question about concealed carry rights. A reporter asked if there were any “ongoing efforts for national reciprocity” so that Americans could carry concealed weapons “in all 50 beautiful states.” Leavitt didn’t dodge the question. Instead, she made it clear: the Trump administration is supportive of the idea, but Congress would have to act first.

According to Leavitt, this is something Trump talked about “on the campaign trail for sure.” Her message was simple – Trump backs law-abiding gun owners, but passing a national reciprocity law requires legislative support.
