You Took A Concealed Carry Class, now what?

We train you to defend your life and the lives of your loved ones.

If your concealed carry class did not look like this, you did not take a true concealed carry class . . .

In-Gauge of Polk County’s ‘Active Shooter’ Defense – Live-fire range training.

We recently graduated another class of ‘active shooter’ defenders. These people will have your back while you are shopping, filling your gas tank or attending church services and you will never know they are there. They have been trained to carry a deadly weapon in public.

This group completed 15 hours of ‘active shooter’ defense training that included: situational awareness, mental preparedness, the drawing from a holster, advanced live-fire handgun training, that included the use of cover and concealment, moving, shooting, reloading, moving between cover and concealment, managing firearm malfunctions, while engaging single and multiple assailants and Stop The Bleed emergency wound care training.

Regardless if you have already taken a concealed carry class or you have a Florida concealed carry license, contact us for official NRA firearms training that will prepare you to defend your life and the lives of your loved ones.

If you haven’t yet taken a concealed carry class or have little to no training, we can take you from the novice, beginner shooter to the advanced level in shorter time than you think. Firearms training is all we do and we are good at it.

There is no substitute for official . . . .

Americans Bought 21 Million Guns in 2020

8.4 million were first time buyers

The Daily Signal – January 05, 2021

The world has said “good riddance” to 2020 and ushered in a new year. Although 2020 was a year in which many people faced extraordinary challenges, it did come with a silver lining for advocates of a strong Second Amendment right—unprecedented growth in the number of Americans who embrace their right to keep and bear arms.

According to the National Shooting Sports Foundation, Americans bought an estimated 21 million firearms in 2020, with 8.4 million Americans buying a gun for the first time last year.

Additionally, the number of Americans with concealed carry permits continued to grow, albeit at a slower rate than in past years. This likely was due to record-long delays in permit processing and shutdowns because of COVID-19.

It is hardly surprising that law-abiding citizens flocked to exercise their Second Amendment rights last year. It was, after all, a year replete with widespread civil unrest and calls to strip resources from police departments already hamstrung by a global pandemic.

The left is actively working to undermine the integrity of our elections. Read the plan to stop them now. Learn more now >>

But even during “normal” years, the right to keep and bear arms plays an important role in preserving the public safety.

According to a 2013 report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, almost every major study on the issue found that Americans use their firearms in self-defense between 500,000 and 3 million times a year. We have good reason to believe that many of these defensive gun uses aren’t reported to police, much less make the local or national news.

Another Church Shooting Tragedy

Pastor Shot, Killed With His Own Gun

Having a license to carry a gun in public does not mean you are qualified to carry a gun in public.

Texas church shooting leaves a pastor dead and 2 others injured

Pastor Mark Allen McWilliams, the church’s 62-year-old pastor opened the door to a bathroom and found Woolen, the suspect, hiding inside.

A scuffle ensued, and McWilliams drew a handgun, the sheriff said. Sheriff Smith said McWilliams told Woolen to lie on the floor. However, when the pastor got distracted, Woolen allegedly lunged at him, took the gun from him, and shot him .

Sheriff Smith said the other church member, who was also shot, was also armed, but he never got a shot off at the suspect. The church member was shot as he was trying to get away from Woolen, the sheriff said.  Smith said the other church member suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

It Cannot Be Understood Why . . .

Why anyone would take a a concealed carry class, gun training class or a self-defense class conducted at a place that sells used bicycles and chainsaws or in a rented hotel room.

What value do you place on your life and the lives of your loved ones? The value of a used lawn mower?

If you want more from your ‘concealed carry’ training than just a piece of paper that allows you to apply for a concealed carry license, than take only official NRA firearms training classes. Not just a class taught by someone who claims to be an instructor.
