Joe Biden stated in his 2022 State of the Union address: “Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.”
“I ask Congress to pass proven measures to reduce gun violence,” he added. “Pass universal background checks. Why should anyone on a terrorist list be able to purchase a weapon? Why?”
Joe Biden, 2022 State of the Union speech
On the surface background checks appear to be a good idea. Exactly, who wants a terrorist to be able to purchase a gun?
However . . .
- What is the definition of a terrorist?
- Who defines the word terrorist?
- Is a parent who speaks out at a local school board meeting a terrorist?
- Is a law-abiding citizen who peacefully protests mask and vaccine mandates a terrorist?
“These laws don’t infringe on the Second Amendment. They save lives.” – Joe Biden
Ask the people of Ukraine and Vladimir Putin the definition of a terrorist and it is likely you will get two entirely differnt answers.

Regrettably, the Ukraine people do not have a Second Amendment. If they had, maybe Vladimir Putin would have thought twice about an invasion.

When your head is in the bear’s mouth it’s too late to load your gun.
